Barbara Brody
Barbara Brody is a up to date colourist who's had a love affair with daylight, skies and landscapes since the age of 3. Her language of photographs can be rich, frolicsome, bold, miraculous and frequently stimulate a non secular quality. Her work is always alive with her sense of color and spirit. "Colours are like breakfast to me. I stick 'em in my mind like others might do with words, films, books, schedules, etc." "All artists have alternative ways of working. I've always elected to work on a sequence of pieces at one previous point. I start by doing many tiny thumbnail drawings and / or paintings. From those I begin my pieces.. Once a rhythm takes hold - I keep working on pieces till the series is complete." Barbara Brody was born and raised in the Chicago, Illinois area and currently lives in the lush countryside of southern Pennsylvania.
