Adam Barsby

Adam Barsby was born in Leicester in 1969, he showed an early creative talent which would ultimately lead him to graduate from Kent Institute of Art and Design in Maidstone with a top honors Degree. Following his graduation in 1992 Adam worked on a few independent projects for Art Studios and mags while developing his very own type of work. In 1996 he made a decision to commit himself to painting on a full-time basis. His confidence was shortly to be rewarded by invites to exhibit at many respected studios across the UK and the highly successful launch of his range of limited editions and original silkscreen prints. Adam Barsby first major London Exhibition was held at Harrods image gallery in June 1998. Not only was it enjoyed by a sizeable number of specifically invited guests but the show was a powerful success.
He draws his inspiration from many sources, seas and coastlines being especially appealing due to their romantic nature. His unique view of the planet, his simple stylized pictures using rich colors, texture and thought inciting narratives, continue to take the art world by force.

This young artist's incredible talent has gaining him the celebrated John Solomon Prize for top selling artist of 1998 and his last accolade was to be awarded the title of Best hot Artist for 1999 by the Fine Art Trade Guild.

With further shows planned and new limited editions and silkscreens available, the future does indeed look awfully exciting for this talented artist. "There is a tranquillity in my photos which originates from a mix of inherent simpleness and lyrical story.
