Fabian Perez

Fabian Perez, the Brazilian painter born to Edua Herreira, a beautiful Brazilian woman and charismatic Antonio Perez in the 1950s has shown his artistic talents from an early age. Growing up in the small city of Campana outside Buenos Aires, he was raised as the youngest of four children.

His earliest drawings were done using watercolours and tempera and at the age of nine he was painting portraits of his family members and friends.

He has inherited his creative flair from his mother and his father had been his inspiration right throughout his career as a painter. His father had lived a shady life operating illegal night clubs and brothels in Campana and as a result younf Fabian was constantly in the company of beautiful women who he later portrayed in his paintings.
He lost his mother when he was 16 years old and three years later he had to face the loss of his father. He was in grief and was clueless when he met his lifelong inspiration, Sensei Oscar who became his master, close friend and most importantly a father figure. He started learning martial arts under Oscar which later proved to be helpful in his work. When he paints, he gets lost in an almost meditative state of mind known as “Muga” (empty mind) which is expressed in martial arts and he draws his inspiration from his travels of the world.

His career as a fine artist took off when he was met two publishers and gallery owners following an exhibition in 2001 and two days later they formed a partner ship to promote his work. It turned out to be a total success and at present his work is published by DeMontfort Fine Art in the UK.
